Back from vacation

So we are back from vacation and there is WAY to much that happened.  So here are a few highlights:

1. Makena (M) learned to drink from a straw while in FL
2. M's new word is "a-kay" (okay)
3. M loved to see all the fish
4. M got to help me feed dolphins
5. M loved to swim in the pool and play in the sand

So back to what's going on in the here and now.  Today we got to play outside!!  We brought "dow-we" (dolly) and her stroller outside and pushed her around the driveway and yard.  We also played in the last little bit of snow we have left in our yard.  Once we were done with dolly we went into the backyard and avoided puppy presents and played in the playhouse.  After our outside time M laid down for a VERY long nap.  I should have taken one too.  They just never last this long!

We're waiting for Jared to get home from his fishing trip, which won't be until well after she is in bed for the night.  I do miss having help in the evenings.  Being a single parent must be impossible . . . kudos to all of you out there.
