Tot-Time

We had another great day at Tot-time.  She was much happier this time since she was able to nap before we left.  I also took her to the side for a bit of a snack halfway through.  It seemed to really help.  She really didn't interact with too many kids, just one little girl who was pushing a ride on toy around.  Makena wanted to ride.  LOL  She did for a little bit, but then the little girl wanted to just play by herself again.  I think it's an age thing.  I'm okay with that.  She'll get the hang of playing with other the more we go.  She was really obsessed with all the different balls too.  They had all sizes and squishiness levels!  Her favorite was the big one with the handle that I let her ride.  It was more work for me than her though.  Try balancing a wobbly 1 year old on an unstable bouncy surface and move around.  WHEW.  She was laughing though, so it was worth it.  She also figured out that the big tube was for crawling through, after she watched some other kids do it.  Here are some pictures:

After tot-time we headed to Target for some necessities.  I was able to get 2 cans of formula for free, thank you enfamil checks!!  I also got some kid sized hair binders, so doing her hair should be a bit easier from now on.  After Target, we went to the library and picked out some learning dvds, books, and some holds.  She was still in play mode because she was pulling books off the shelf like we were at home.  Not so fun.  Overall, she was so well behaved.  I was very proud of her.  She got leftover burrito insides for lunch (which was almost an hour late) and then went down for her nap.  What a champ!

We don't have anything else on the calendar this week, but next week gets crazy.  Mon. and Tues. are tot-time, Thurs. we have ecfe, and Saturday we start swim lessons.  The swim lessons end right before our trip and we will miss only 1 ecfe class during vacation time, so that should work out well.  I always hate to pay for something and then miss it.
