Weekend fun!

We had a good weekend for the most part! Saturday we were able to go to the zoo!!  We didn't spend as much time there as we would have liked since Jared had the start of a migraine and wasn't really into it and it was a Girl Scout day, so there were little girls running around EVERYWHERE!  I really do have the worst timing when it comes to going to things.  So if you ever want to do something with me, don't let me pick the time/date, it will be crazy.  Same thing goes for me picking out a checkout line.  LOL

Being a big girl and telling US when she was done looking at the fish.  She started walking away and then would go back to it 5 feet later, then she would leave again.  In this picture, we actually left!  :)

Once we got home from the zoo Makena and I played and Jared took a hour and a half nap.  He REALLY needed it.  Not only was he grumpy, he didn't feel good.  Those darn migraines.  I felt bad for him.

Sunday I went out and about during her morning nap and hit up some expos at the Mpls. Convention Center and it was daddy/daughter day.  I was home by 3 and then we just all played in the basement together.  Jared said that Makena played with the Little People Barn almost all day.  She must have because he was stopping her from making a song play.  I laughed, since I've been there with a lot of other toys.  I tried to get her to play with some of the other sets, she played with the pirate ship for about 15 minutes!!  She liked pulling the "plank" out and putting the octopus on it.  Then she would knock the octopus off and push the "plank" back in.  This repeated for a long time . . . I can't get her to like pushing cars around though.  She liked the trains at the store, but she doesn't like cars.  Weird.

I also can't figure out how to make her propel herself on the ride on toys.  She should have figured that out by now.  All she does is get on, play a little, then get off.  She just doesn't even TRY to push herself around.  She LOVES it when I'm pushing her around, but she won't try.  ugh.  Any tips on this one?

Tomorrow we will potentially go to tot-time, if I get done at the chiropractor in time.  I've never been to one, so they have to do a full work-up.  I had a nerve scan done at the health expo, and my alignment is all screwed up.  I had the scan done at a different place than the chiropractor I'm going to.  I hope I feel like a million bucks tomorrow.  Then I'll go workout and screw it all up.  :)
