That was the quote I heard from Jared as he was feeding Makena and Matthew supper. Okay, yeah, I forgot to tell him that Matthew says "stuff". He used to just kind of scream and make noises, but now he clearly makes the following sounds:
ba ba ba ba
ma ma ma ma
He has even started doing the mama when he wants to get into a sitting position or when he's signing for milk. He's picking on communication very quickly. I'll have to admit that it was Jared that started with trying to get him to say mama as his first "word". I think he felt bad that Makena said dada first and used to call me dada. I'll admit, it feels nice to be a baby's first word!
Makena has been a bit of a mommy's girl lately. Normally if Jared is around it's, "no mama, daddy do it". Gee, thanks. Well lately it's been, "no daddy, mommy do it". HA, now he knows how it feels. I do admit, it was nice getting out of things (like putting her on the potty) because she wanted daddy to do it.
I don't think I've forgotten to mention anything else ...
