EEECK!!

Okay so there are a few fun things going on my my life:

1. blogger looks different and I like change, so this is fun!

2. Jared comes home this evening and we'll get to have a nice weekend as a family, and that is fun!

3. I bought a new stroller and I am so excited. Unfortunately I won't get it for a couple of weeks. A friend of mine has this stroller and LOVES it, so after I compared it with a few others, I was also sold on it.  It seems like the cadillac of double strollers! EEECK.  I will not be saying which one it is or telling you the price.  My family just may have a heart attack if they find out. Just keep in mind how much I save by cloth diapering (when you do find out what it is)!!

This past week was overall a good one.  There were some trying days, but we'll just put those in the past and hang onto the good memories. Saturday we had Jared's cousin's wedding.  It was nice and the reception was at the lake so I was able to put the kids to bed and just go check on them. SO handy.  I loved it.  Makena's favorite parts were hugging the princess, Sarah - the bride, and dancing.  She's a dance machine. Matthew's favorite part was the meal, I'm just guessing here, but I'm sure it's a safe guess.

Sunday we had a "sending off" breakfast for the bride and groom and then it was a quiet day at Grandpa and Grandma's.

Monday Makena got to play with Madi and Taylor.  She had so much fun.  She didn't take a nap so she was pretty tired by the time bedtime came.  Tuesday the girls were out too and she played. The kids and I also took Grandma to Brainerd.

We went to the farmer's market (I got raw honey and I'm excited to try it after hearing why it's different than processed).  Grandma got a watermelon and cantaloupe.  The cantaloupe was perfect but the watermelon wasn't the best. Then we went to the mall. I found some cute things for Matthew and Grandma got Makena some things for school. I had to bring Makena to the bathroom when Grandma was checking out and when I got back she told me I needed to get one more thing so her total got her to a reward.  I was shocked at the total she was at and I asked if she got all the sale prices.  Then she pulled out a surprise she got for Matthew. Crocs.  They are SO cute on him.  I was trying them on him and he was laughing and trying to get them, it was funny.  I of course wanted them but wasn't willing to pay that price.  Well, I guess Grandma is nicer than me!  He's worn them a couple of times and has fun with them every time! Tuesday night was a disaster.  I'm not going to get into it, but an over tired toddler led to us leaving G&G's at 12:30 am and getting home at 2:30am.  The advantage to leaving at that time: no traffic.  I made the best time ever!  Under 2 hours.

Wednesday we laid low and tried to get back on routine. Thursday: the Y, playtime, naps, play, shopping for stroller, bed. Friday: well so for today we've had gymnastics.  That's all for activities.  We do have to go to the Y, but Matthew needed a nap so we couldn't go right away like I was hoping.  I originally thought Matthew would sleep in the carrier while Makena was participating in gymnastics - nope. Makena is getting to watch Sesame street though.  She hasn't seen this in a long time.  We're usually at the Y this time of day.  I may try to drive by some garage sales and see if there are any toys we "need", but I haven't really been into that this year.
