The Zoo, again ...

The kids and I went to the MN Zoo today.  We got there around 10 and then left about 1:30. We didn't spend as much time there this time, but I don't feel bad about it since we have a membership now.

We went to Discovery Bay first again. The dolphins were in back AGAIN. I promised her that we'd see them this time though, so I asked what time they would be in the main area and I came back at that time.  After a brief time in the fish area we went outside and started with the bears.  2 were sleeping and one was watching fish. We continued on and made our way around the path and looked at the rest of the animals. When we got to the farm we ate lunch and went back to the Bay.  We had actually timed it so Makena could ride the train (monorail).  She was SO excited and I was glad we were able to get there on time since I told her we would ride it next time we came to the zoo.

Once we saw the dolphins I was tired so we went home.  We skipped MN Trail and the Tropics Trail this time.  I guess I know what we're starting with next time we go. (Perhaps next week?) Both kids slept on the way home and I wanted to shoot off another message before starting supper then potentially heading to the Y.  I want to go workout, but I don't want to bring Makena swimming, which I know she will want to do. It's just a lot of work to change the kids into suits. I also know that I'm going to be tired after working out. I guess I should just suck it up and let them have some fun! Okay ta ta for now! I will add pictures tonight if time allows.

Update:
We went to the Y again tonight. Makena was excited to go swimming.  She did understand that she had to play while I exercised then we'd head to the pool. When I went to pick her up Matthew was crying.  They said they'd keep him while we went swimming.  Well, we just got wet and I got paged to the kid area to go get him.  I decided to suit him up and we all went swimming. He did great once he was with me. Not a tear was shed.

Jared noticed that he had another tooth or two bulging out his gums on the top.  Man, that explains a TON. He's been eating a lot, not sleeping, and kind of grumpy. Hopefully when these teeth come in I will have my happy boy back again.
