So far behind

A re-cap of the last few weeks (in a nutshell):
We went to Katie's new house in Bloomington and took some maternity pictures of her after going out for lunch.  Two days later we went back to Bloomington and spent the morning at my Aunt Bev's house.  She had my cousin's two little girls over so Makena got to have a play date while I got some much needed family time.

Makena also painted a present for Grandma for her mother's day present.  Now, we just have to get it to her. Oh and last week at gymnastics was terrible.  We actually had to leave after 15 minutes because she was just crying non-stop.  It was ridiculous and I wasn't in the mood to deal with it.  I had given her a warning off to the side.  She stopped for a while, but then started right back up so I grabbed her and we walked out the door.  Way to show daddy your gymnastics skills, SIGH.  Jared came to watch her because he was home for his study day.  The day before an exam he doesn't go to work and pretty much studies non-stop.  He was pretty excited to get to watch her at an activity for once instead of only hearing about it. Poor daddy didn't get to see her real skills.  Oh well, hopefully this week is better.

Matthew has been up a lot at night lately but overall has been a good kid. He is a solid sitter now and he rolls from tummy to back and back to tummy no problem.  Next step is crawling!  He had his 6 month check-up on Friday and he is in the 98th precentile for height and weight.  He came down from over the 100th in height.  I thought for sure he was still up there though since he seems so tall.  I bought him some new clothes after trying on some 24 month items.  They fit him perfectly.  That's right I said 24 month.  Where did my little BABY go?

Oh there is also something else exciting to tell you about, but I need to get going, so I will write about that one later.

Oh and why am I behind on blogging?  I don't have any time anymore.  Makena doesn't take an afternoon nap and Matthew is awake at night so there is no sit down and type time.  I have Sesame Street on right now and Matthew is playing with my feet.  Perhaps this will be the new blogging time. Well, my 5 minutes of typing has to be wrapped up, I'm being beckoned for Barbie play.
