I want to start by saying that gymnastics was great this week. She hung from the bars, did the correct moves on the uneven bars, remembered what we were supposed to do on different areas when I forgot and was overall wonderful. THAT is my child. whew. I knew she was still in there somewhere! We had a big talk about listening and paying attention before class and the days leading up to class.
So what broke this time? My shredder. I really can't make this up. Stuff I buy breaks all the time. I won't even tell you about the baby clothes that are falling apart. ugh. So I had to bring my shredder back to Target and exchange it for a new one. I was even using the original shredder as directed. That never happens, I push the limits all the time.
Other tidbits in our life. I won a soccer ball from a blog giveaway. The thing costs $80 regularly. WHAAAT? How does a soccer ball even cost that much? That's ridiculous. Glad I'll have a nice toy to literally kick around.
Today Makena and I made homemade chicken nuggets and while she was taking her nap I made some chocolate chip cookies so she would have an extra special snack to wake up to. She was SO excited. Jared was pretty happy when he found them too. I'm glad my family is so easy to please.
Tomorrow I plan to ... I have nothing planned. If it's nice I'm going to try to bring Makena to the park. I hope there are other kids there to entertain her so I don't have to do it. Isn't that terrible of me? It was just SO nice last time when she ran around having fun and didn't need me next to her the whole time.
