Long time, no type

It's been a VERY long time since I've posted anything on here.  I stopped doing my weight loss blog and this one got forgotten with it.

So Matthew will be due in 7 weeks.  Whoa, that's less than 2 months away. I've decided to try cloth diapering these monkeys too.  I did my first order the other day and they will hopefully be here tomorrow.  I will have to wash and prep them and then Makena will get to start trying them.  It will hopefully save us thousands in diaper costs.  Literally thousands between the two kids.  I'm not doing the cloth thing for the planet, but it IS a nice side note. It's purely a "I'm a cheapo".  I also have a lot of friends that do it and swear by it.  My eyes really opened when I saw a few charts of the cost of disposable versus cloth.  WOWZA.  I already spend over $100/month on diapers so adding another kid will be $200, AHHHH.  My first order was $100 for diapers for Makena.  I can also use the same diapers on Matthew.  That's right, $100 for diapering two kids.  I'm starting with just a few diapers to see what brand I like, then I will add more of the kind I like so I don't have to do laundry every other day.  I would like to be able to go almost a week between washings (if my nose can hold out).

Cloth diapers will make a GREAT christmas gift for EVERYONE in our family this year.  I want to get some BumGenius 4.0 (all in ones) for when we are visiting others or when someone is babysitting.  They are just like disposable but you wash them, so VERY user friendly.  I am going to be using prefolds and covers  for our day to day useage though!

I'll let you know what I think about cloth diapering once we start!
