just some sickies

We have been battling a runny nose with Girl this week.  We had a small scare that it was croup (from a play date) but it didn't develop into that.  I wouldn't have really cared had it, but I was worried about her comfort.  She seems to be doing okay now though.  She had one rough night where she woke up saying owie owie until I went in there.  She pointed at her tummy, chest, and ears when I asked here where her owie was.  I took her temp, no fever, but gave her some tylenol since she REALLY seemed to be in pain.  About an hour later she finally fell back to sleep.  She woke up at her normal time acting fine.  Oh, she's so funny.  A runny nose really seems to bother her.  She keeps sticking her finger up her nose trying to get it out.  It sounds gross (and is) but it's SOOO funny watching her trying to get it to stop.  I guess it's one of those "you had to be there" moments.

I've been playing with the camera a lot this week.  Photographing a baby is SO much easier than a toddler. Don't get me wrong, it's not easy since I have to take pictures while holding a baby up, but I did it.  Here are  a few pics from our photo session.

He's just so cute!

I can't decide which hand picture I like better.  I like the color one because it shows a little bit of Boy, but I like the b/w one because he looks like he's reaching up to his daddy.

These weren't that great, but I just have such a hard time deleting pics of him.

I took a lot of feet pictures, but Jared said he liked this one the best because it was the most symmetrical. I kind of like it because with the shape of the feet and diaper it looks a bit like a heart.

Boy had a terrible night last night. He was up until 1am crying, woke an hour later wanting to eat again, and then went back down (kind of), and woke 2 hours later for more food.  He got his best sleep from 5am to 8:30am.  Of course Girl woke right on schedule (7am).  I have definitely had better nights ...

Jared and I moved the guest bed upstairs to Girl's room last night while she was sleeping too.  He had mentioned that he would appreciate more room in the office to study (he keeps rolling his chair into things) so I said Girl could upgrade beds.  He was hesitant, but I got kind of excited about it.  I found some cute new bedding and got a GREAT deal on it from jcp.com. It was already 50% off and I got another 25% off that with an online coupon I found.

At first I was REALLY against painting the walls the color they are in the picture, but then I started thinking about it and it may be kind of fun.  If we get sick of it, we can always paint over it again.  I'm thinking of doing the accessories in her room the bright pink color and maybe even a splash of yellow or orange.

I put her new bed up this morning and she is sleeping in it now.  She had one little incident when she got out of the bed to get more books and couldn't get back into it so she started crying.  I went and put her back in and she went right to sleep.

  2. Yeah - it's a quilt not a comforter! I'm thinking a large array of pillows instead of a headboard? Once the set gets here I'm going to head to jo-anns. I CAN do pillow covers, headboard - prob. not! I may even try zippered covers!!
