My (not so) little guy

My little man is 16 weeks 2 days today.  I didn't update on his 16 week b-day because, well, umm, I didn't.

Things that have been going on with him:

  • He plays with his hands a lot more now.  He bats at toys above him, plays with my hair, and likes to put his hands in his mouth
  • He laughs.  He laughs a lot in fact.  Such a light hearted little guy.  I LOVE it.  He laughs when I snort like a pig at him, when I am going to give him neck kisses, when his sister is dancing for him, pretty much anything.  He is such a goof!
  • He wears 9 month and 12 month clothing
  • He lost all of the hair he was born with and has a nice head of hair growing in to replace it.  It looks just like Girl's did at his age.  So the color will probably be the same
  • I've noticed his head is shaped just like his daddy's
  • He can roll - if it involves rolling to me to get food.  That's the only time he will put the effort in.  Otherwise he is perfectly happy laying on his back or having some tummy time
  • He is also pretty good at sitting. He can last a good 3 seconds before starting to tip.  The only other time he tips is when he gets excited and flails out.  How is a little guy supposed to be able to balance that?  LOL
  • He also likes to be in the sitting position on somebody's lap.  He doesn't really like to lay down while being held unless he's sleeping or eating
  • His favorite position to be held: sitting on my leg, facing out, and his arms wrapped around my arm.  He likes this because he can suck on my arm or use it as a head rest
Girl is going well these days as well.  Not as much going on as far as updates with her.  She likes to watch Sesame Street (and not just Elmo's World).  Actually she's kind of over Elmo's world.  She also likes all 3 Tinkerbell movies, and movies in general.  She gets to have one movie on a day after nap time.  She doesn't really sit and watch them, but we have them on in the background when we play.

Potty training is officially complete with her as well.  (Except nap and overnight)  It's so nice not to have to change 2 kids in diapers!  It's also nice to not have to change toddler poo.  Granted, we haven't had to change those with her for a LONG time, but when she would have a poo accident, WHEW, open the windows - who cares if it's -20 out ...

The other day Girl actually wanted Boy to participate in play instead of just watching us SOOOOOO ....

this is what happens to little boys that have big sisters and mom's to help ...  (he's going to kill me when he's older, LOL)
Boy participating in the fun

Girl LOVED that she got to play WITH Boy more than normal!
