What a whirlwind of a day!

The day started off like any other Saturday.  No wait, WAY better.  I was awoken at 6am by a baby that had slept for 7 straight hours in his CRIB!!!!  (all thanks to the Guardian Sleeper) After a quick breakfast he went back to bed and so did I.  The guardian sleeper looks like a blanket, but it attaches to the mattress.  It slides over the bottom of the mattress kind of like a pillow case.  The top of the sleeper has a velcro area that goes around the baby.  There is also a kind of harness inside the sleeper so the baby can't slide down under the blanket at all.  I was hesitant that this contraption would work, but I won it from a blog giveaway, so I thought I'd give it a try.  I LOVE it, so far.  We've had 2 GREAT nights of sleep in the crib.

My new entryway bench.
Girl woke up at her usual 7am, but Jared got up with her and that was wonderful.  I slept until 8.  So I got 9 hours of sleep, just like the good old days (right before boy was born).  Once I was up, showered, and fed I went downstairs with the big kids.  Shortly thereafter my dad arrived with the delivery of my new entryway bench.  I LOVE it.  It's functional and stylish.  Not to mention half the price of the one I found online.  Mine was also handmade and in one solid piece.  Had I purchsed the one on the internet it would have been in a million pieces that I would have had to assemble and that would have sucked.

Anyway, after that we made a family adventure to the library and Michael's. I found some cute flowers that are going to match the new color scheme in Girl's room for super cheap.  I also went next door to Hallmark, which was closing, and found some cute treasures for dirt cheap. Boy got me a "mom" christmas ornament for $2 and I got him a picture frame for $8.

Once home it was nap time for Girl.  Once she woke she had a snack and then her friend Noah showed up for a play date.  The kids played with toys, play dough, and ran around like crazies.  They were both very well behaved and seemed to have a very fun time.  Noah's dad is Boy's godfather, so they got to know each other a bit and we all hung out and chatted.  Honestly, I should have made an appointment to get my hair colored since there were babysitters.  Oh well.

Once Noah and his dad left I donned my workout apparel and worked up a nice sweat.  I finished up at about 9:30.  The Hubs was taking care of Boy durning my physical fitness adventure.  They even went out into the cold for an errand.  Hubs needed to withdraw some cash for his work trip.

Speaking of the work trip, Hubs is already at the airport and ready to fly to San Antonio until Wednesday.  I'm trying to decided what the kids and I should do.  I'm thinking a visit to grandparents is in order, but which ones?  P-ville is so boring and I won't have actual HELP with the kids, but we don't see my dad very often.  Even when he dropped the bench off yesterday he was here for about 10 minutes (no lie).  He DID have a friend with, the man who built the bench, so I understand them wanting to leave. Anyway, I still don't know where to head.

As I type Girl is taking her the bath that she missed out on last night due to the late night play date.  She LOVES morning baths.  I would do it every morning, but she spends about an hour in there and I usually have better things to be doing with my time.  Obviously blogging is on today's agenda, so I'm okay with the long bath.
